Latest Development Studio released to support DSTREAM-HT

1 minute read time.

I'm excited to announce that Arm has just released the latest Arm Development Studio update. Compared to the previous version, this 2019.0-1 (and 2019.a-1 Platinum Edition) update has implemented some important bug fixes and other general performance improvements.

Faster debug with fewer pins: get started with DSTREAM-HT

The principal reason for this update is to add support for the new DSTREAM-HT probe. In addition to standard JTAG/SWD debug support, this probe adds support for targets that have serial trace capabilities. Serial trace is a solution that is becoming more commonplace, offering the dual benefit of significantly higher trace bandwidth, while also using fewer device pins, compared to 'traditional' parallel trace. You can read more about DSTREAM-HT functionality.

Support for the latest Arm-based devices

We also extend our commitment to enable developers using the latest Arm-based devices in the market. We recently hit the milestone of 6000 microcontrollers supported with CMSIS software packs. More complex devices are also supported, and this update adds out-of-the-box debug configurations for i.MX8 QuadMax, a powerful multi-core, multi-cluster, heterogeneous device from NXP.

Availability

Arm Development Studio 2019.0-1 is available to download here. DSTREAM-HT is now also available to purchase.
