hello,
I'm trying to debug an OpenGL ES 2.0 native application using the mali graphics debugger on a non-rooted android 6.0
but when I start the application the screen remains black and libMGD produces the attached output on logcat.
It stays that way until the application is forced closed.
the application is built as ARMv7
android: 6.0
gpu: mali t720
driver: v1.r7p0
thanks
Hi Ornitorrinicos,
Sorry for the delayed response. Yesterday we released a new version of the Mali Graphics Debugger which we hope will fix the issue that you are having. This new version of the debugger adds non-root support for Android 6.0. It can be found at: Mali Graphics Debugger - Mali Developer Center
Cheers,
Stephen
ok, thank you very much
ornitorrincos,
Thanks for the info.
I was able to reproduce the problem. I'll let you know once we have a fix.
Thanks a lot for your report,
Jacek
yeah, it's a bq Aquaris A4.5 with an OTA update to android 6.0
Thanks for trying with version 3.4.1. Looks like we will have to try to reproduce the issue internally. Could you let us know, if possible, what device you are using and where did you get Android 6.0 from?
Thanks,
I'm using 3.3, will download and try it with 3.4.1 one right now
EDIT:
tested by uninstalling 3.3 and installing 3.4.1 with the new .so and daemon and I still have the same issue
Hi ornitorrincos,
Could you please let us know what version of ARM Mali Graphics Debugger you are using?
If it is older than v3.2 then please try again with the latest version (v3.4.1, http://malideveloper.arm.com/resources/tools/mali-graphics-debugger) as the support for non-rooted devices has been improved.
