AHB Lite

Hi All,

In the AHB Lite protocol, if slave provides error response then to terminate the current burst can master perform NON SEQ transfer to start another burst or it needs to first perform IDLE transfer after error response from slave ?

Please help me out if anyone have idea.

Thanks and Regards,

  • If the master cancels the next address phase transfer in response to the ERROR response, the master MUST instead signal an IDLE transfer. This is mandatory.

However the master can choose to ignore the ERROR response and just continue with the next address phase transfer it was signaling, and that could be a new burst starting with a NONSEQ access. So that isn't burst termination as the ERROR response would have been to the final transfer in the current burst.
