How feasible and what is the API for packet filtering at harware level (using Trust zone)?

Hi,

I am entirely new to this. I am a research student who is researching ways of implementing a hardware level network packet filtering (using the trust zone) for IoT devices. 

Could someone please let me know about the feasibility, whether such an implementation already exists and which API I should refer to go forward?
