I'm reading the "Arm Cortex-M7 Devices Generic User Guide" and at paragraph 4.3.4 I find:
What does that mean? What is the value of the bits [31:30]?
In my SOC, the Flash is at the address 0x6000 0000, so bits [31:30] are 0 and 1. Does this mean I can't place the vector in the flash?
Best regards
Max
This is a documentation error - VTOR in early Cortex-M3 (version r0p0 - r1p1) is limited to bit 29 down to 7.
In later Cortex-M processors (including later version of Cortex-M3, M4 and M7), the VTOR has been extended to bit 31 down to bit 7. But the documentation team forgot to update that bit number in description of the user guide.
I will drop an email to documentation team.

Joseph
