For a CortexA35, when reading the system counter clock frequency CNTFRQ_EL0, I found out that the frequency is 8 MHz.
Is this normal? For a target running in GHz?
The target is i.MX8QXP (Quad-Core CortexA35).

As per the Architecture Reference Manual:
The system counter (..) Increments at a fixed frequency, typically in the range 1-50MHz.
The Cortex-A35 TRM also mentions:
"CNTVALUEB[63:0] is generated from a system counter that typically operates at a slower frequency than the processor clock"
All in all 8MHz seems perfectly valid.
