This is a Stanford seminar by Rick Coulson of Intel distributed by stanfordonline on youtube
He talks about 3DXpoint and a number of other interesting topics. Intel seem interested in data centres and the desktop but I think it shows great promise for smartphones and IoT because it does not require power when not in use, it uses much less power than flash to write, and it is fast. In fact he was asked after minute 54 about use in 'Armland'. It looks like Arm is thinking about this with persistent memory instructions in Armv8.2-A but I wonder if it could eventually be in even Cortex-M0 type chips though I can imagine the negotiations required for something like that.
