We’re planning to complete the data migration on Tuesday, 31 January and apply a hotfix. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, see Data Migration Phases!
I’m awaiting approval of the final deployment plan, so I’ll update the schedule if it changes. There will be a maintenance page up and you will not be able to access the Community while we deploy the changes.
Historical discussions and questions data will be migrated to the Arm Community, bringing back a wealth of knowledge and resources to help you solve problems, design and get started on Arm.
Some minor UI hotfixes are being deployed, mostly focused on the mobile views.
Translation for simplified and traditional Chinese in the main and sub navigation.
Despite planning to migrate private messages, we have run into a technical issue and it looks like we are unable to extract private messages from the database. I’m really sorry about that. If you have something in your private messages that you need, please let me know and I’ll work to identify it and pass it on to you.
You can still send and receive new messages to your friends as before.
Redirected previous platform RSS feeds to a feed asking the member to update their RSS feed. More documentation here.
Optimised redirection rules and released some technical debt to improve performance.
Launched an ideas section to enable Community enhancements. If you have an idea for improvement or spotted a bug, let us know, we’d love to hear from you! I’m also working to raise the visibility of this section.
Keep up to date with all Community activity from a single page. Access through the Content link in main navigation.
We have extended the period between logins to two weeks.
We’ve increased the delay before tour tips return when you click ‘Later’ to two weeks if you don’t find them helpful. I want to keep them in place for new users and returning members for the time being as the platform is so new. In addition, if you follow them while logged in, they shouldn’t come back again.
In March, there is a platform update that will allow us to customise this experience more.
Enabled better content filtering. Check out the content filter tabs across the activity stream to narrow down what you would like to see.
This customisation will re-enable tagging site wide. You will be able to select appropriate tags from a defined selection.
This is an important part of the migration, as it will form the basis and open doors to integration with other Arm websites, as well as enablegets the review, tagging and moving activities for historic content.
Email notifications and email digests will soon be available, allowing you to keep up to date with the Communities you are interested in right to your inbox. You can update your contact preferences and subscriptions by clicking your avatar in the top right and choosing settings. More information.
There is a lot more coming besides this and I’ll keep you up to date as things progress. If you have any questions, please leave a comment.
Don’t forget, you can let us know if you have an idea for an enhancement, find help on how to use the Community here, or just start a discussion here for everything else.
I appreciate it!. I really like it when people get together and share ideas. Great website, continue the good work!. Either way, great web and I look forward to seeing it grow over time. Thank you so much. |=>super smash flash 2 |=>bloons tower defense 5
This is a great post, I liked your blog. http://supportnumbers.net/avg-support/
Thanks for sharing.
Hi (deleted user)
You can find your migrated content curated into one place here: community.arm.com/.../blogs
Blogging is currently restricted to ARM employees and guest bloggers as we develop integration points with our other sites, the new Partner Directory and ways for Partners and members to contribute. We will be extending the features as this Community matures.
Most of the contributions here are links to other blogs with a stub, I have an idea for better sharing of this type of content on this platform. I'll look into it and come back to you directly when I have explored the options a bit more so we can get you up and running again.
I used to participate a lot in ARM CC, I had posted 92 blogs. Now since the upgrade, I cannot figure out how to post a blog; I cannot access my previous login information, or see my previous blogs. My previous group memberships seem to have vanished also. It is a real deterrent for me to participate in this site! Real bummer!
The Community is online again, and historical discussions are finally back :)
