Evolving the ARM Community

ARM Community changes: What they mean for you

Big changes are coming to the ARM Connected Community next week as we deliver an easier, cleaner and more integrated content-creation and consumption environment, extending the reach and increasing engagement with our developer, customer and partner ecosystem using online communities.

The ARM Connected Community is changing publishing platforms, moving from Jive Software to Telligent. It’s also being rebranded as the ARM Community.

Here’s what you need to know

We are changing platforms, so there will be a downtime of 6-8 hours next week where you will not be able to access the Community.

We’ll confirm the exact sequence of events early next week, so make sure you follow ARM Community Migration to get updates.

New single sign on

We’ll send you an email to let you know when the site is ready, with an invitation to log in. At first log in, you will be required to complete some short steps to update your details and link your Community account to our new single sign on service; then you’ll be set to go.

We expect it to be a smooth transition, but there’s online help and a support group should you need it. The support group will also transition over so you can ask us any questions as you get used to the new platform.

Phased migration

This transition constitutes the first of two phases of change for the Community. The second is expected in early 2017 and will complete the migration of historical data.

  • Phase 1: Includes migrating the basic information architecture, users, groups, blogs and documents onto the new platform. We're also changing the branding to ARM Community.
  • Phase 2: expected in early 2017, will include the migration of forums, tags, discussions and private messages.

We will continue developing new features, integrations and improving usability throughout 2017, including the unveiling of a new Partner Directory.
