The real value of the Internet of Things (IoT) lies just beneath the surface of billions of IoT devices being deployed in networks around the world: it’s the data that lies untapped (or unknown) inside those devices. However, until now, the complexity and diversity of so many different technologies and vendors required to deploy effective IoT solutions at scale has made implementation more of a vision rather than a reality. Challenges come in many forms: including a wide variety of device classes (everything from an ultra-constrained sensor to a large edge gateway), multiple connectivity protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, LoRa, etc.), multiple deployment options (on-premise or over cloud), and a vast volume of raw data that needs to be processed to deliver real value.
Organizations need their IoT platform to manage all of this diversity and complexity from the device to the data. That’s why we’re excited to announce the Arm Pelion IoT Platform, the industry’s first end-to-end IoT connectivity, device and data management platform for hybrid environments that will enable organizations to approach this fragmented and often frustrating landscape and derive real business value. The platform was born through the recent acquisitions of Treasure Data and Stream, as well as innovation within Arm. It delivers the flexibility, security and efficiency needed to unlock value from IoT devices and data. The end-to-end Pelion IoT Platform will provide the following capabilities so that IoT customers can obtain insights based on a combination of trusted data from connected devices and enterprise data.
The information below provides a deeper look into the connectivity, device and data management capabilities that we’re offering through the Pelion IoT platform.
The Pelion IoT Platform together with Arm’s IoT device IP, Kigen, Mbed OS and PSA provides the industry’s only IoT solution that securely addresses complexity from the device to the data and everything in between. Customers now have the technology to securely deploy, connect and update their devices faster, as well as more quickly access their trusted, usable IoT data.
As we as an ecosystem reduce barriers to IoT deployment and device-to-data usage, countless companies will accelerate time-to-value of their data. The Pelion IoT Platform is the IoT solution that is helping organizations manage their IoT devices and data to unlock insights, and in turn, use those insights to unlock value for their businesses and their customers.
To find out more about how organizations are using the data harvested from their IoT deployments, read our newly released whitepaper "IoT and the Data Gold Rush," based on insights from Forrester Consulting's IoT Data Management Survey.

The Internet of Things is an exciting thing for ARM, the Internet is a useful system and combined with ARM chip design is very useful for machine embedded efficiency, we are looking at cosmos domination. I am very interested in creating a matirx using ARM technology using Machine Embedded Language (MEL). I am currently working on DASM an assembler aimed at the RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Code) that ARM technology uses.
